Dixie
I am 2 years old. I am very sweet and love sleeping with you on
the couch or bed. I'm a real cuddle bunny. I love cheese and I love
to greet you when you come home from work.
I came from a puppy mill that was shut down because they did not
treat us very well. I am so happy to be out of there and sleeping on
a nice fluffy bed instead of that painful wire cage.
I weigh 9 pounds. I like other dogs and cats. I also like treats!
Foster Mommy update: 10/21/08 - Dixie is great. She is so sweet
and is overcoming a great deal. She is wagging her tail and perking
up her ears.
Foster Mommy update: 12/15/08 -
Dixie looks at me now when I talk to her. She is wagging her tail
more and more. She follows me around everywhere and curls up by my
feet. She lets me scoop her up into my arms and hold her like a
baby. She lets me kiss her on the nose and handle her feet and tail
without any issues.
The only problem I am having with Dixie is she doesn't like
strangers to pick her up without warning. If I pick her up and put
her in someone else's arms, she is fine. But she will get upset if a
stranger tries to pick her up. I'm sure this will improve in time. I
am now having everyone new that comes into the house pick her up and
handle her. She is getting used to it.

Dixie's adoption fee is $250.
E-MAIL INQUIRES: Please be patient with us! We're taking care of
a lot of kids – The foster kids AND our own. Plus, we have families,
homes and even full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids,
playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids as often
as possible. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners
and taking them on walks. In other words, we're just a little busy
but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can.
ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts,
we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount
DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to covering that kid's dogtor bills. Most of
the kids have a minimum $500 vet bill that we pay out of our own
pockets. But the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical
care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top
pawority. (Sorry, I just can't resist using "paw" whenever I can!)
