THIS IS DUE TO EVER INCREASING VETERINARIAN COSTS . LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE, THE COST TO VET THE POMERANIANS AND SCHIPPERKES HAS GONE UP. WE CONTINUE TO HAVE A LARGE PERCENT OF HEARTWORM POSITIVE POMS AND/OR SCHIPPERKES COME INTO RESCUE.
We spend about $250.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Senior dogs are normally adopted out at a reduced adoption donation.
